On March 3, opening of book exhibition “Ana – Tirshiliktin Guli, Omirdin Nury” and exhibition of needlewomen devoted to International Women's Day took place in the exhibition hall of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The book exhibition topic is a woman in historical perspective. Kazakhstan history is rich in famous women's names; those women were on the advanced positions and made a major contribution to the country's development. At the same time, they remained feminine, brought up children, and took care of family's wellbeing… Alma Orazbayeva was the first Kazakh woman becoming a member of Bolshevik party in 1919. Sara Yesova was a pioneer of women's movement in Kazakhstan, she participated in economic building of young Soviet Republic. Manshuk Mametova, Aliya Moldagulova are legendary heroes of the Great Patriotic War, and others. There are a lot of contemporary business women – leaders of social organizations and political parties, business and culture – Bibigul Tulegenova, Fariza Ongarsynova, Svetlana Dzhalmagambetova, Aitkul Samakova, Roza Berdigalieva, Olga Shishigina, Zhaniya Aubakirova, Roza Rymbayeva and many others. Books, albums, newspaper and journal articles dedicated to our remarkable women are presented on the exhibition.
At the exhibition of needlewomen, there were presented works of members of “Bereghinya” club:
Astapenko Elvira Alexeevna – master of decorative and applied arts, Ukraine. Her creation is multifaceted: satin stitch, cross-stitch, hemstitch. Her works are attractive with their refinement of picture, abundance of colors, methods of traditional Ukrainian embroidery. Works of Astapenko were exhibited on more than 40 exhibitions in Ukraine and Russia.
Ivanishcheva Asya Nikolayevna. Her works are represented with 19 dolls from different materials, pictures of dry plants. All these exhibits are dynamic, dolls look like alive. One sees dancing Aisulu and Gipsy Aza, running girl under rain, doll-mother waiting for new life… Asya Nikolayevna is sure that pictures of dry plants are the second life of flowers and plants. Themes for the works she takes from nature and thinks that hand-made works are home amulets.
Tumakova Nina Nikolayevna's collection has 70 embroidered pictures. Themes are various – nature, landscapes, birds, flowers, portraits. The following works are presented on the exhibition: “Tadj Makhal”, “Favourite corner”, “Bird on the Reed”, “Butterflies”, “Golden Mirages”, and others.
