From April, 15 till April, 17th of this year in Almaty 5th International book and polygraphic fair "On the Great Silk Way" has taken place. The production have presented more than 40 large publishing houses and the companies of Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey. For the purpose of studying of the book market of Kazakhstan, expansion of direct contacts to suppliers at fair has visited the head of Service of formation of funds of the National Academic Library of RK Kalykova K.B. Kenzhe Bidasbekovna have been come into contacts to publishing houses of Kazakhstan and Russia, numerous price-lists are received, also it managed to hear to the review of legal definitions of Germany on publishing. Besides the head of department NAB RK has brought from fair more than hundred new books which will soon fill up library fund.
Acquaintance to new books, perhaps, we will begin with publishing house "Raritet" production. Shakarim is the remarkable expert on creativity of Abai, the successor of its traditions. And to his life and creativity are devoted books from a series «Shakarim alemi»: Erlan Sydykov's «Shakarim zhane Alashorda», Arap Espembetov's «Shakarim zhane Sultanmahmut», and also Garifolla Esim's «A Conscience Science». First part of G.Esima's book is devoted metaphysical lexicon of Abai, in second section it is told about «philosophy of words», in third part «Philosophy restless» the analysis of Shakarim's work is given. Within the limits of the project «Kazakh prozasi kazinasinan» books of writers Muhtar Magaui's «Kok Munar», Madi Aiymbetov's «Kum ozek kikhaialary» (legends, stories) and poets of Esenbai Duisenbaiuly's «Ulangaiyr olender men dastandar», Tolegen Aibergenov's «Men sagan gashik edim» were published.
To the interested by sreativity of known poet Mukagali Makataev, “Kazakhparat” publishing house offers books “Zhurek aryzy” and “Mukhagali Kundelik”
The subjects of creativity of the Kazakhstan poets and writers are continuing by a series “Year of Kazakhstan in Russia 2003”. Within the limits of this project in Moscow publishing houses “Slavia” and “the Russian books” published such books of known Kazakhstan poets and writers as “I am...” Zhumeken Nazhimedenov; «Pass days» Tumanbai Moldagalievi, "Transient" of Dulat Isabekov; "Knowledge" of Anuar Alimzhanov. The novel «Returning of the teacher», the story "Knowledge", the story "Elephant calf" are included in A.Alimzhanov's book.
The following authors which books are let out by the Kazakhstan publishing houses are not less interesting: Otarbaev R. “Karasha kazdar kaitkanda” (publishing house “Сөз”), Ahmetova Z. “Shuaktykunder”-“Light days: memoirs, an essay”, they are the Honored workers of Republic of Kazakhstan, the Winners of the award by name of Mahambet. This book is devoted to B.Momyshuly, to the glorified hero of the Great Patriotic War, the legendary commander, the known writer. In the product written by the daughter-in-law of the hero, the image of the great son of the Kazakh people, its wisdom and humanity brightly and capaciously reveals. The book is added by photos from B.Momyshuly's family archive. We wish to pay attention of readers to Janna Eskuatova's documentary-biographic story “Herald Belger” (the publishing House “Kazakhstan”). Herald Karlovich Belger is the person of unique talent and unusual destiny, the writer, the translator, the publicist creating products in 3 languages: Kazakh, German and Russian. In the given book is told about the basic marks of his life and creativity.
Publishing house Almatykitap in a series “Menin Kazakhstanym” gives us colourful and substantial books “Kazakhtyn keste oneri”, “Kazakhaforizmderi” (more than 2 thousand aphorisms) “Kazakhtyn koldanbaly oneri” (authors are Shokparuly D., Darkembaiuly D.), “Zheti suym zheti kutym, yrysym” U. urkutbayev. For fans of adventure publishing house “Audarma” has published in a state language novels “kishkentai zhabaiylar” and “Kazyna araly” of Ernest Seton-Tompson and Robert Luis Stevenson, "Robinson Crusoe" of Daniel Defoe.
And what about the popular literature, so the Russian publishing houses offer following books: “Book culture in works of the scientific CIS countries” (the collection of articles is prepared by the International Association of Academy of sciences on materials of the international scientific conferences, Moscow, Publishing house “Nauka”); “Book culture: experience of the past and a present problem: to the 280 anniversary of the academic publishing house in Russia” (materials of the international scientific conference, on December, 18-19th, 2008 Moscow, publishing house “Nauka”); “School of publishing business. Selection and an estimation of manuscripts”, an author is Dzhill Devis (Moscow, the publishing House “Universitetskaya kniga”, transfer from English). The given edition represents original "guide to action" both for a beginner, and for the skilled editor.
Among the educational literature such grants as “Methodological positions about statistics” (Agency of RK on the statistics), “Banktegi bukgalterlik esep” (A.Bimenova, the manual, “Foliant”), the directory “the Organization, the account and the internal control on public catering establishments” (publishing house "LEM"), the practical grant «Tax registration policy» (V.P.Proskurin, publishing house "LEM") are published.
