On May 28, 2009 at the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan there was meeting of the round table talk on the project Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “About carrying additions and changes in the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “About Culture” for purpose of programme putting realization of the party “Nur-Otan” – “Culture and Art support – one of the main priorities of the party”.
The participants of the meeting were deputies of Parliament Mazhilis of RK Nuketaeva D.Zh., Ahmadiev M.A., Smaiyl A.Z., and others, Vice-Minister of Culture and Information Buribaev A.I., Chairman of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of RK Kyrykbaev A.O., Deputy-Chairman of the Committee on Village Territory of the Ministry of Agriculture of RK Troshihin M.V., Director General of the National Academic Library of RK Otarbayev R.K., Director of the Institute of Cultural Policy and Study of Art Sairov E.B., and also officials of state and private organizations of culture.
The aim of “round table talk” is opinion exchange about contemporary status and further development of culture. The special note was on the discussion of law in draft “About carrying additions and changes in the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “About Culture”, which is now under the consideration of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition, there were considered such questions as the role of the contemporary cultural policy in strengthening of statehood and consolidation of Kazakhstani Society, development of Culture sphere in rural area, lack of creative personnel in state organizations of culture.
According to results of discussion of participants of there were made recommendations on decision of the main problems.

The main aim of correction data is the further improvement of the national legislation about culture in the point on support and development of domestic cinematograph, museum and librarianship, formation and preservation of cultural values.
