On 28-30 September, 2009, IV International book exhibition-fair and conference “Book Is Way of Cooperation and Progress” will take place in Ashgabat. Otarbayev R.K., Director General of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Valiulina M.B., Head of Library Research-Analytical Centre, will participate in the events in the capital of Turkmenistan.
Book exhibition-fair and conference will be conducted by Turkmen state publishing service. Book publishing and book trading companies and organizations, associations of publishers and book distributors, author-legal organizations, literary and information agencies and societies, and other international, regional, and national organizations and associations are invited to participate in the exhibition-fair.
Aims and tasks of IV International book exhibition-fair and conference are the following: promoting literary heritage of Turkmen nation, establishing creative, economic, technologic contacts of publishing houses, state enterprises, companies, private business, exchanging the best practices of publishing houses, printing houses and enterprises, establishing new contacts for the purpose of book buying and selling, rights for publication, marketing, acquaintance with world literature.
An official catalogue of participants will be published before fair opening.
