On September 17, 2009, a musical-poetic party “Kenekem, an men zhyrdyn keni eken” devoted to 125th anniversary of birthday of well-known Kazakh singer, composer, akyn Kenen Azerbaev was conducted in ethno hall of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among guests and participants, there was a son of Kenen Azerbaev, journalist Bakhytzhan Kenenuly, First Deputy Director General of NAB RK Usenbaev Zh.B., and also representatives of creative and public intelligentsia of Astana.
Kenen Azerbaev is a distinguished Kazakh akyn, follower of Dzhambul. Master of the ancient kind of poetical art – aitys, creator of poetic stories and cordial lyric songs, K. Azerbaev is loved and honoured by his nation.
Creative heritage of Kenen Azerbaev is a source of song and poetic wealth of Kazakh people. Poems, songs, kyui, improvisations, aitys of Kenen Azerbaev don't let be indifferent anybody. The party devoted to 125th anniversary of akyn birthday was opened by the First Deputy Director General of NAB RK Usenbaev Zh.B. There were shown unique frames of broadcast record about Kenen Azerbaev. Authors of broadcast – Akseleu Seidimbek and Zhanybek Karmenov. Kenen Azerbaev's son, researchers of akyn's works, those who knew akyn shared their recollections, told about their attitude to Kenen Azerbaev's creative work. Stories took turns with kyuis and songs…
NAB RK specialists organized a book exhibition, a colourful booklet was published, and a methodological textbook will be published. It will include proverbs and sayings of Kenen Azerbaev.
A specialist of the Centre of International Cultural Programmes and Exhibitions of NAB RK Mukhamediyarova S.M. was an author and presenter of the party devoted to 125th anniversary of Kenen Azerbaev.
