Officers and cadets of the National Military School of the Republic of India visited NAB RK on March 26 together with representatives of youth maslikhat of Astana city at Astana city branch of “Nur Otan” NDP. An excursion was organized for the guests. They visited Electron catalog room, Internet room, Centre of Digitization, Ethnography room. Indian cadets acquainted with India Study Centre with great interest.
The Centre was opened in NAB RK in 2006 in cooperation with the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are books, periodicals, CDs, VCDs, audio-video cassettes about India in Hindi, Kazakh, Russian, and English languages in the Centre. Visitors can see television programmes about India. The Centre also has got objects of art including exhibition of paintings and photographs about India. Book of Mahatma Gandhi “Selected Letters and Expressions” is translated into Kazakh language. It is of special value of the centre, and it is the only book of Gandhi translated into Kazakh language. The guests didn't conceal that they were feeling themselves in India Study Centre as if they were at home. Expressing their gratitude to Deputy Director General Sarsembinova A.N. for interesting excursion, cadets noted that NAB RK was a modern library with harmoniously arranged printed and electronic resources which are in easy use, accessible, and attract readers for coming here.
We would remind you that cultural exchange between students of military department of the Eurasian National University by name of L.N.Gumilev and cadets of the National Military School of the Republic of India is conducted in Kazakhstan on initiative of the Embassy of India. Guests from India and Kazakhstan students discussed issues on youth military-patriotic upbringing at the military department of the Eurasian University. Also, cadets of the National Military School of the Republic of India met with ENU Chancellor Bakytzhan Abdraim.
Guests from India visited Museum of the First President of RK, Palace of Independence, Monument “Astana-Baiterek”, Memorial complex “Alzhir”. Besides, they took part in celebration of Kazakhstan state holiday Nauryz and activities organized by youth maslikhat “Nur Otan”.
