Book “Kazygurt” – Guide in Local History World
On 20 April 2010, publishing house “Foliant” presented a new book “Kazygurt” published in series “Menin Otanym - Kazakhstan” (“My Home is Kazakhstan”) in the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Well-known cultural figures, intelligentsia representatives, poets and writers were present at the presentation. Author of the book “Kazygurt” is a well-known public figure, writer, publicist K.Tursynkulov. This edition opens known and unknown legend secrets about Noah's ark concerning Kazygurt mountain, gives information from guiding notes of Chinese travelers, who researched tirelessly those areas, and also other travelers whose notes are valuable by truth and accuracy. There is interesting information about famous historical figures such as ruler of Turk kaganate Istemi, Shyngys Khan, Aksak Temir, Alexander the Great, Tomiris, Abylai, and Tole Bi, whose biographies are connected closely with events happened in Kazygurt area. The book also presents local flora and fauna, social-economic and cultural development of Kazygurt region. Materials collected in this book will be of interest not only for historians and local historians but for a broad range of readers interested in history of their region.
