Specialists of Libraries from Kyzylorda Oblast Had Training on the Basis of NAB RK
On 19-23 April, 2010, nine specialists of libraries from Kyzylorda oblast had training course on the basis of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the five-day training programme, there were conducted 13 lessons on the following topics: “Kazakhstan National Electronic Library – KazNEB. Goals and Use”, “Electronic Library Collection. Innovations in Organization and Acquisition of Collection”, “Work on Programme ‘Cultural Heritage'”, “Bibliographic Description”, “Reporting and Planning in Libraries”, “Innovation Forms in Serving Readers”, “Bibliography as Base of Information Knowledge”, “SIBID Standards Introduction into Library Work”, “Collection Acquisition of Public Libraries”, “Preservation and Use of Book Collection”, “NAB RK Reader's Way”. Lessons were conducted by heads of NAB RK departments and specialists in library processes automation. Also, there was told about Egyptian libraries where a group of NAB RK specialists had training course. During training period, librarians from Kyzylorda oblast participated in the events of Day of open doors in NAB RK, visited Presidential Centre of Culture of RK and libraries of Centralized Library System, Astana city. On finishing training course, librarians were granted certificates on taking course on the basis of NAB RK.
